2017 Maine Season Kickoff Event

The 2017 FIRST Robotics Competition Kickoff Event for Maine FRC teams will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017. Streamed live from Manchester, NH by NASA Television to kickoff locations around the world, the Maine event is again scheduled to be at Hannaford Hall in the Abromson Community Education Center at the University of Southern Maine, Portland campus, thanks to the generosity of the USM Office of the PresidentOffice of the ProvostCollege of Science, Technology, and Health; College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; College of Management and Human Service, and the Office of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.

The 2016 FIRST Robotics Competition Kickoff Event for Maine FRC teams will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016. Streamed live from Manchester, NH to kickoff locations around the world, the Maine event is again scheduled to be at Hannaford Hall in the Abromson Community Education Center at the University of Southern Maine, Portland campus. The live stream will also be available on NASA Television. This event is once again hosted at the University of Southern Maine thanks to the generosity of USM's College of Arts, Humanities, and Social SciencesLewiston Auburn College, College of Management and Human Services, College of Science, Technology, and HealthUSM Office of the Provost, and Office of the President.

2015 Maine Season Kickoff Event

The 2015 FIRST Robotics Competition Kickoff Event for Maine FRC teams will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015. Streamed live from Manchester, NH, the Maine event is again hosted by the University of Southern Maine, sponsored by USM's College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; the College of Science, Technology, and Health; and Lewiston Auburn College. The live stream will also be available on NASA Television.

2014 FIRST Robotics in Maine

Portland, Maine: Representatives of Maine's FIRST Robotics teams attended the season kickoff on January 4, 2014 at Hannaford Hall, in the Abromson Community Education Center at the University of Southern Maine for the unveiling of this year's challenge: Aerial Assist.

There will be a Maine local kickoff on Jan 4, 2014.

The webcast will be viewed at the University of Southern Maine's (USM) Hannaford Lecture Hall at the Abromson Community Education Center, 88 Bedford St, Portland, ME.  The webcast begins at 10:30. Teams must bring their Team Roster and any hard copies of consent forms.

This  FIRST Robotics kick-off event is sponsored by the USM College of Science, Technology, and Health; The Office of the Provost; Office of Student Success; and the President's Office.

The kit of parts will be distributed at Texas Instruments, 5 Foden Rd, South Portland, ME.
